500 Error on Central Administration - The handle is invalid.

My situation: Brand new Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise x64 install on a physical Dell Server

SQL Server 2008 SP1 with Cumulative Update 5 over two Failover Cluster Nodes

SharePoint 2010 software install runs through fine, config wizard has no issues.

After first install, Central Administration would not load at all, installed some windows updates, Central Admin works until next reboot.  At that point we decide not to take any risks, and to rebuild the machine.

Second install, Windows Updates were installed first, install went fine, Central Admin loads, but then errors after reboot again...  :(

So, you have followed the steps in http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee805948.aspx ?

http://blogs.msdn.com/b/dougste/archive/2006/09/05/741329.aspx describe some general guideline for troubleshooting "Could not load file or assembly", such as using Assembly binding log viewer: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/e74a18c4(v=VS.90).aspx ;

Threads such as http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/netfxbcl/thread/56ea5bcf-11e5-494a-abf6-e1405fb8ce92 says that the error  message can be caused by problematic .net framework installation. So, what do you mean by rebuild the machine, format the disk and install OS from the scratch?
