From the error message, I deduce that you need to configure the Visio Graphics Service.

Start here:  http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee524059.aspx

Hi shamash,

From your first error: The server  farm account  should not be used for other services.  SPTimerService (SPTimerV4), it means that other services  also use the server  farm  account, you need to change the account used for he services listed in the explanation. The steps are as follows:

Open Central Administration, click Security, then click configure service  accounts, select the services which use the server farm account, then select another account for these services, if there is no other account, click register new managed account create some new accounts.

The last error: built-in  accounts are used as application  pool or service identities.  SPTimerService (SPTimerV4), it means that you use built-in account as the server farm account, such as built-in administrator account. You need to change this account to other non-built-in account.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply Cornelius.

I just came across this error and have read through the referenced document and don't think that providing just that link is going to help people solve the problem directly.  If you follow that link there is a lot of reading to do just to figure out what is going wrong, let alone to fix the problem.

From all the reasearch that I have done (I think that) you have to do the following steps:

Plan a Secure Store Service (http://tinyurl.com/2wa8vff) Provision a Secure Store Service (http://tinyurl.com/38phsgg) Create a Target Application Assign the ID of the Target Application to the Unattended Service Account for Visio Graphics Service

I found this Blog (You'll translate it to English, I use Google Translate built into Firefox) that walks you how the steps abloce. (http://tinyurl.com/39l4jl4)

While it sounds really easy, the more I read into it this doesn't seem like a basic thing to do and the choices that you make now could have major importance as your solution grows ... and quite honestly (as a SharePoint newbie) is pretty darn confusing.

What wold really help is if someone could explain, a little more succinctly, what is actually going on here and why we have to go this route of secure stores and what not ... as I'd like to understand what I am doing, and do it correctly, as oppoed to just following some steps from a blog.

Thanks for all your help,

EK
