I installed VB studio express 2010 and right when I open the program I get a message stating "User defined breakpoint" and it shuts down. I have already uninstalled and reinstalled. How can I fix this?

Hi Migmultisync,

Thank you for your post.

Based on your description, it looks like your concern is more like IDE.

Please check the following suggestions, please check whether your issue is solved or not after each step.

-          You could type ‘VBExpress.exe /SafeMode’, which starts Visual Studio in safe mode, loading only the default environment and services.

-          If it does not work, you could type ‘VBExpress.exe /resetsettings’. It restores Visual Studio default settings. Optionally resets the settings to the specified .vssettings file.

More information about Devenv.exe Command Line, you could refer the following link:http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-US/library/ms241273(v=VS.80).aspx

-          Could you please try to switch other user accounts or create a new account and try it again?

-          If above suggestions couldn’t help you, could you please uninstall VBExpress thoroughly via Add/Remove Program and reinstall it again?

CHEERS,

Larcolais
